REGENT'S FEBRUARY MESSAGE
My Dear Sisters,
My dear sisters in Christ,
We are fast approaching Ash Wednesday. The beginning of Lent. This is also time of true reflection, sincere repentance, and renewed love for Christ, so that we may celebrate Easter with joy, hope, and faith. Let us focus on how we can be of service to others. Especially those in need.
"Help me to acknowledge my sins and my deep need for your loving forgiveness and grace".
"Help me to discipline my body and to be renewed in spirit".
"Help me to know what is right and to be eager in doing your will".
"Help me to pass from my old life of sin to the new life of grace".
"Help me to correct my faults and raise my mind to you and thus grow in holiness".
"Help me to master my sinfulness and conquer my pride".
"Help me to remember how much I need you in my life".
"Help me to be aware of those who are in so much more suffering than I am".
"Help me to honor this day with the ashes on my forehead".
Purpose of Ash Wednesday Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent, a holy season of prayer and penance. It is a day of remembrance of one's need for redemption.
